Create Your Own Detailing service

Create your own Detailing Service.png

So I am single handed trying to make the car industry somewhat change in more of a customer-friendly way. So customers have more control on when they can get their cars worked on or detailed whatever that customer needs. In this process, i have come up with the create your own detail.

Sounds crazy, I can hear it now ” how do you create a detail”. Well, this is how. You circle the type of car you have that has a base rate for the start of a car wash. Example if you have a Honda Civic sedan 4 door you circle the 4DR $20 and then follow down to the next part and that is options for the outside. Sounds again a little weird because how many options could there be? Well, there are a few, we do everything from cleaning rims to different types of waxes to engine cleans and underbody washes. After Selecting the outside of your head to the inside selecting having your windows done to shine just an inside cleaning and vacuum. Now the options are yours you don’t have to get the whole package just what you want doing.

Doesn’t that sound like something you should try?! I think so!!

Summer time automotive maintenance tips

Summer time automotive maintenance tips.png

Hey Toronto, it is Ashton Deroy again writing for the Dignity Repairs blog. If you haven’t already, you need to be asking yourself. What should I look at in my transportation as we begin to turn from winter to spring and summer.

Well here is some things you might be over looking:

  1. Tire pressure changes – A warn down or misaligned tire can be extremely dangerous. To check your tire pressure use what is referred to as a penny trick on your tires. Heavily worn tread can cause dangerous driving condition. If you can see any part of the picture of the penny. You should replace your tires.
  2. Change your oil – Every 7,500 miles your oil needs to be changed. Usually this time comes around the time of the change in seasons.
  3. Check fluid levels – If the car happens to be your summer car and it has been in storage all winter. You should check transmission, power steering and differential.

Issues having your car pass emissions?

Here is what they check when you bring your car in for a E-Test.

Pre-test check

If the inspector finds any of the following issues, it must be corrected before the emissions test can continue, as it could lead to injury and/or the test equipment may not work properly:

  • missing catalytic converter and/or gas cap
  • defects in the fuel filler pipe
  • problems with the on-board computer system that would prevent the vehicle from being tested
  • visible smoke coming from the tailpipe
  • any problems the inspector believes would prevent the vehicle from being tested safely

You will receive a pre-test check rejection form, if the vehicle cannot be tested. You will need to return for the test, once any required repairs are made.

The actual test entails

Hooking up device monitor to check if there are any codes reading pertaining to the emissions, you car will fail your e-test if that check engine light is on.

Then they hook up the tail pipe test to see if there is any leaks with your exhaust that could be dangerous to the public and environment.

What they don’t want you to know

If your car is over 20 years old and your repair to get the test is over 300$ you could be lucky enough to get a conditional pass on your vehicle. They can give you, your slip with the information that its a conditional and you can get this years sticker.drive-clean

3 Easy beginner cars to drive

3 Good beginner cars.png

Hello and welcome to Dignity Repairs official blog. when you are first beginning to drive you do not want the most complicated car to start driving. High prices, easy handling and insurance costs are all things you need to consider in getting your first car. The three cars below are great recommendations for beginner cars to drive:

Hyundai I10

Hyundai

This car is not the priciest car. Plus with the easy handling it makes it a great first car for a young person under 20. Plus can you really see a younger person drag racing this car? This car screams safety and that is all.

Honda Civic

This car is durable, solid and safe. If well maintained it can go over 250,000 miles with out a problem. It is not a hassle to fix and in a silver colour it is not going to be expensive to get insurance for. Not to mention Honda’s have a long standing reputation for saving money on gas.

1998-2004 Toyota Tacoma

This truck is recommended for a first time driver because it is a rugged tough truck with easy handling. Plus the truck has a solid reputation for handling off road.

The only problem with this vehicle is it is a bit of a gas guzzler.
